Equine Health
EnduraPlus SUMMARY:
A horse's ability to perform depends on proper blood flow to the muscles
and lungs. Intense exercise uses up chemical messengers called
neurotransmitters that a horse's body needs to keep blood vessels fully
open.
For a horse to perform at its best, it is essential to replenish these
depleted substances, which are necessary for proper blood flow.
EnduraPLUS™ is a nutritional supplement that is designed to enhance
equine performance by promoting production of neurotransmitters needed
for optimum blood flow.
IMPORTANT:
Anti-inflammatory drugs such as Banamine or "Bute" (phenylbutazone),
and certain herbs block formation of nitric oxide. They will inhibit EnduraPLUS™ from working. All anti-inflammatory drugs and all other
anti-inflammatory supplements or herbs are to be stopped for at least
the first 4-weeks of using EnduraPLUS™ .
Optimum equine performance requires
maintaining proper function of the cardiovascular, pulmonary, and
musculoskeletal systems during intense exercise. Nitric oxide is a
gaseous molecule that plays a crucial role in regulating the heart,
lungs, muscles, and blood vessels. Nitric oxide dilates blood vessels
and increases blood flow. Insufficient production of nitric oxide
impairs all the body systems that affect equine performance.

During intense exercise a horse’s body uses up large amounts of nitric
oxide. For optimum performance it is essential to support production of
nitric oxide to replenish what is depleted by intense exercise.
Researchers have found that insufficient levels of nitric oxide impairs
equine performance in several ways, (see sample references below). For
instance, if a horse becomes overheated, fatigue rapidly sets in. Nitric
oxide plays a crucial role in dissipating heat from intensely exercising
muscles.
EnduraPLUS™ is a nutritional supplement that is designed to
promote optimum equine performance by supporting production of nitric
oxide.
Nitric oxide is synthesized in the body from its nutrient precursor, the
amino acid arginine. Attempts to increase nitric oxide production by
administering large quantities of arginine have met with limited
success. Additionally, administering substantial amounts of arginine may
have undesirable side effects, either through stimulating insulin
release or by affecting other mechanisms.
There has been a need for a way to increase the amount of nitric oxide
produced within the body using relatively small servings of arginine.
Achieving these previously unattainable results was made possible
through the development of a proprietary product formulation
methodology.
Guiding Principle 1:
Rather than attending to the signs and symptoms of a disease, promote
balanced homeostatic functioning, primarily by nutritionally supporting
insufficiently functioning mechanisms.
Very often an underlying condition involving deficient functioning of a
homeostatic mechanism contributes to development of a problem. In order
to promote optimum healthy performance, identify the likely
under-functioning mechanism and nutritionally promote production of a
deficient regulatory substance. Nitric oxide plays an essential role in
regulating the body systems that determine a horse's performance. Since
intense exercise uses up large amounts of nitric oxide, it is essential
to support production of nitric oxide to promote optimum performance.
Guiding Principle 2:
Excessive activity of a mechanism suggests there are insufficient levels
of a substance that down-regulates that mechanism.
During intense exercise, heat can rapidly build up in muscles causing
fatigue. Nitric oxide usually plays an essential role in impeding excessive
heat build-up by increasing blood flow to muscles. As the intensity of
exercise increases, the amount of nitric oxide released from a horse’s
airways directly increases. In order to promote optimum performance in
horses, it is essential to nutritionally support production of nitric
oxide to replenish what has been depleted by intense exercise.
These
instructions must be followed for the product to work.
Guiding Principle 3:
To restore homeostatic balance while minimizing risk of side effects,
promote activity of regulatory mechanisms rather than inhibiting a
physiologic function.
Pharmaceutical agents that block receptors or antagonize enzyme activity
all have undesirable side effects. Such pharmaceutical agents may
adversely affect organs other than those that are being targeted.
Pharmaceuticals that inhibit enzymes interfere with important
physiologic mechanisms. To avoid side effects it is preferable to
promote activity of intrinsic homeostatic mechanisms, without inhibiting
enzyme function.
Our Product promotes desired physiologic effects using nutrients and
plant-derived substances that are normally utilized by the body's own
physiologic systems. Supporting physiologic mechanisms using nutrients,
rather than suppressing body functions with drugs, decreases the risk of
side effects.
Guiding Principle 4:
Administering a combination of rapidly absorbable ingredients on an
empty stomach allows their effects to occur in isolation and maximizes
their synergistic interaction.
The surprisingly potent effects produced by formulations are believed to
result from the synergism of simultaneously delivering a specific
combination of ingredients to targeted cells. For this reason,
formulations must be administered on an empty stomach. This promotes
maximum absorption of the active agents without interference from
fibers, competing amino acids, or other substances that might limit
absorption of key ingredients.
EnduraPLUS™ provides the nutrients a horse’s body needs to form
neurotransmitters that promote blood flow in the muscles, lungs, and
heart. EnduraPLUS™ combines selected neurotransmitter-precursors with
all-natural ingredients that support neurotransmitter synthesis.
IMPORTANT: EnduraPLUS™ must be administered when the horse’s stomach is
as empty as possible. This is essential to promote rapid absorption of
the ingredients in their intended proportions in order to produce the
desired effect.
EnduraPLUS™ contains no drugs or racing-prohibited ingredients.
